COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus Men's Track and Field sophomore
Noah Sanders was named the Centennial Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday morning.
Sanders won the weight throw at the Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday, tying the Centennial Conference and Ursinus program record. The Haddonfield, New Jersey, native recorded a mark of 18.00 meters, matching Isaiah Battle's conference and school record set in 2023. His throw is the top mark in the Centennial this season and ranks 20th in Division III.
The honor marks Sanders' second victory of the year after winning the weight throw at the Bow Tie Invitational. He also finished second at the PLEX Shootout on January 31, placing first among Division III athletes. This is the first time in his career Sanders has earned a weekly accolade from the Centennial Conference.
The Bears return to action Friday, February 13th, when they compete at the Widener Indoor Classic.
