CHESTER, Pa. - The Ursinus men's track and field team set a pair of school records on the road, with a strong performance at the Widener Indoor Classic.

Junior
Carter Kensil began things for Ursinus on Friday night, finishing sixth in the shot put with a throw of 14.80 meters.

Sophomore
Noah Sanders then delivered a record-setting performance in the weight throw, reaching 18.02 meters to finish fifth overall. The throw broke both the Ursinus and the Centennial Conference records for the event, making it a historic Friday evening for the Bears.

The Bears won their first event of the meet in the pole vault, as sophomore
Mitchell Davis soared to a height of 5.05 meters. The vault was good for 6th in all of Division III this season, and topped his previous indoor school record mark of 5.01 meters.

Bryson Sacher got it started for Ursinus on Saturday, with a 24th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles (8.98). Fellow first-year
Noah Tapler then placed 16th in the 60m, earning a personal-best time of 7.02.

Senior
Liam Johnston kept the Bears rolling as he finished 19th place in the mile, with a time of 4:25.76. First-year
Ramon Martinez then came in 20th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.43. Senior
Aiden Tobin gave Ursinus their first top-5 finish of the meet, tying for 5th in the 200 meters. His time of 21.95 was good for a season-best.

Patrick Ryan gave the Bears a strong finish on the track. The quartet placed 11th in the 4x400m relay, coming in at 3:24.93.Â

Ursinus also had a great showing in the field events Saturday. Junior
Jaxon Geddio gave the Bears an early spark with a 14th place finish in the high jump (1.90m), before sophomore
Andy Zigbuo finished 27th in the long jump (5.97m).

Ursinus closed things out in the triple jump, as senior
Cole Jackson finished 20th, reaching a height of 12.63m.

The Bears will return to action on February 20th, as they head to Haverford College for the Keogh Invitational.
