COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Basketball team secured a Centennial Conference Tournament berth for the fifth straight season and will host a Tournament game for the second straight season. The Bears, who have secured the third seed, will host the sixth-seeded McDaniel at 6:00 p.m.

The Centennial Conference has announced that Hudl will serve as the ticket provider for CC championship events. Hudl will give event attendees the ability to purchase tickets online for each round of the Centennial postseason. Centennial fans will be able to find all scheduled postseason events on the
Centennial ticketing homepage and quickly purchase tickets to receive via email. Fans will then use their smartphone to gain access at championship events through a simple and secure ticket validation process. Below are the ticket prices for each round of the postseason:

Ursinus holds a 16-9 overall record and a finished the regular season with a 9-4 mark in Centennial play. The Bears finished third in the Centennial regular season standings. Meanwhile, the Green Terror finished the regular season with an overall record of 16-9 and a 6-7 mark in Centennial play. McDaniel finished sixth in the Centennial Conference regular season standings
Scouting the Bears
The Bears hold the highest scoring offense in the Centennial Conference at 82.6 points per game and have the highest overall team field goal percentage at 47.9 percent. Ursinus has two of its players in the top five in scoring for the Centennial Conference in senior
Mohamed Toure and sophomore
Jamie Murphy. Toure holds a slight edge now for the team lead in scoring at 16.9 points per game and is third in the Centennial Conference. He led all Centennial Conference scorers in conference games this season at 20.6 points per game and enters the postseason by scoring at least 21 points in five of the last six Bears contests. Murphy has had a breakout season by sitting just behind Toure at 16.8 points per game and ranks fourth overall in the Centennial Conference. The duo also sits first and third, respectively, in the Centennial in field goal percentage with Murphy leading at 54.5 percent and Toure at 49.8 percent. Senior
Nick Nocito ranks third on the team in scoring at 11.1 points per game and yards the Conference at 5.5 assists per game.
Bears in the Playoffs
Ursinus will be making its 19th all-time appearance in the Centennial Conference tournament, and for the fifth straight season. The Bears have qualified for the tournament in eight of the last nine seasons, and have won four Centennial Conference Championships with the most recent coming in 2008.
Scouting the Green Terror
McDaniel returns to the postseason after rallying in a 52-49 winner-take-all game for the final seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament over Muhlenberg on Saturday afternoon. The Green Terror have the lowest scoring offense in the league at 59.0 points per game but play strong defense as they allow the fourth-lowest points to opponents at 65.2 points per game. Senior David Kearney leads the team and ranks second in the Centennial Conference at 17.2 points per game and is fifth in field goal percentage at 49.1%. He also leads the team and ranks seventh in rebounding for the Centennial at 6.8 per game. Sophomore Ashenafi Stuart ranks second on the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game and is one of the best three-point shooters in the Centennial by ranking third with 2.0 three-point field goals made per game.
Green Terror in the Playoffs
McDaniel will be making its first Centennial Conference Tournament appearance since 2016 and seventh overall appearance in program history. The Green Terror have advanced to the Centennial Conference semifinals twice in 2009 and 2014 but have never made the Centennial Conference Championship Game.
Series History
Ursinus holds the all-time series advantage over the Green Terror at 44-26 and have won 11 of the last 13 meetings. This will be the first postseason meeting between the two schools.
Last Meeting
The Bears won this season's lone meeting on January 23rd 79-52 behind an overpowering second half. Ursinus blew open a seven-point game at halftime by outscoring the Green Terror 49-29 in the second half behind shooting a sizzling 60.7 percent (17-of-28) from the field and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) as a team in the final 20 minutes. Toure led four Bears in double-figures with 23 points while Murphy added 19. Nocito completed a point-assist double-double of 11 and 11.
Ursinus Head Coach: Kevin Small
The all-time winningest coach in Ursinus Men's Basketball history,
Kevin Small is in his 27th season as the head coach of the Bears and 30th overall season at Ursinus. Small has amassed a 362-293 record during his time in Collegeville. Small has led the Bears to 18 Centennial Tournament appearances, four Centennial Conference Championships (2003, 2005, 2006, and 2008), and the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2008.
McDaniel Head Coach: Kevin Curley
Kevin Curley became the winningest coach in McDaniel men's basketball program history on Nov. 12, 2024 for his 186th career victory as head coach. During his previous 18 seasons at the helm, Curley has led the team to six Centennial Conference Tournament appearances and four ECAC Tournament appearances. He has won two Centennial Conference Coach of the Year awards (2009, 2014) and has coached 18 All-Centennial Conference selections.

The winner will advance to the Centennial Conference Semifinal round on Friday, February 27th with both games starting at 6:00 p.m. If Ursinus wins, they will take on Johns Hopkins while McDaniel will make the short trip to Gettysburg if they win.
