COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus men's wrestling team cruised to a 38-7 victory on the road at Muhlenberg College on Wednesday evening inside Memorial Hall.

With the win, Ursinus closed out the regular season with an 11-2 dual meet record and its fourth straight 5-0 mark in Centennial Conference action. Meanwhile, the Mules fell to 3-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The victory marked the Bears' 23rd straight Centennial Conference dual meet win dating back to 2021.

The dual began at 165 pounds, where the Mules earned an 11-5 decision to take an early 3-0 lead. Muhlenberg's Trey Miletics defeated senior Derek Giordano by decision. Ursinus responded at 174 pounds as senior Anthony Cerulli recorded a 53-second pin over Noah Schlofer to give the Bears a 6-3 match lead. Cerulli secured an early takedown before locking in a cradle for his 23rd pin of the season, which ranks fourth in Division III.

Senior Nils Updale returned to the Bears' lineup at 184 pounds and jumped out to a 3-0 advantage with a takedown late in the first period. Muhlenberg's Nick Stump earned an escape to open the second, but Updale carried a 3-1 lead into the final period. Updale added an escape with 1:30 remaining and held on for the 4-1 decision to extend the Bears' lead to 9-3.

At 197 pounds, the match entered the second period scoreless before junior Sean Cowan chose bottom and tallied an escape 32 seconds into the stanza. Cowan then recorded a single-leg takedown late in the period to take a 4-0 lead into the third. Muhlenberg's Ryan Fairchild earned a quick escape, but Cowan defended off multiple shot attempts to secure the 4-1 victory and increase the Ursinus lead to 12-3.

Junior Mohamed Abdelatty carried the momentum into the heavyweight bout at 285 pounds, recording a pair of quick takedowns to build a 6-1 advantage. Abdelatty collected the fall at the 2:04 mark to give Ursinus an 18-3 lead. At 149 pounds, junior Evan Shriberg jumped out to an early 6-0 advantage over Muhlenberg's Eoghan O'Hara.
