LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team wrapped up their split squad action this weekend at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic at Lynchburg and Bill Butler Invitational at West Chester on Saturday.
In sprints, senior
Aiden Tobin finished third in the 100 meter dash on a time of 10.93 after initially posting a 10.94 in the prelims. First-year
Noah Tapler earned a top-10 finish in the 200 meter dash in ninth on a personal best time of 22.40. Junior
Dylan Baer finished third in the 400 meter hurdles after recording a personal best time of 56.37 while senior
Patrick Ryan placed ninth on a season best time of 58.34.
Senior
Ryan Martin finished second in the 3,000 steeplechase on a season best time of 9:57.13. Junior
Troy Hedrick led the Bears in the 800 meters with an eighth place finish on a personal best time of 1:54.88 and first-year
Ramon Martinez rounded out the top-10 on a personal best time of 1:55.36.
Sophomore
Noah Sanders led the Bears in the discus with a mark of 37.09 meters that placed him 10th overall and junior
Carter Kensil was the lone Bear in the shot put and placed sixth on a throw of 14.12 meters. Senior
David Piotrowski finished 11th in the high jump at 1.75 meters and classmate
Markel Roberts-Jackson was 12th on the same mark. Junior
Logan Downs recorded a personal best 1.70 meter high jump and senior
Cole Jackson finished seventh in the triple jump at 13.18 meters.
The 4x100 relay team of Tobin, Tapler, junior
James Long-Stratton, and sophomore
Andy Zigbuo finished second in a photo finish on a time of 41.44.
At West Chester, senior
Sean Bowers highlighted the meet by taking the pole vault at 4.26 meters.
The Bears return to action on Friday, April 17th as they will open competition at the two-day Widener Paul Donahue Invitational.
