CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field team continued its spring season at the two-day Paul Donahue Invitational hosted by Widener this weekend.
 
 
Sophomore Mitchell Davis extended his NCAA Division III pole vault mark by .3 by easily taking the event at 5.28 meters. His two marks this season have been 5.25 and 5.28 which have eclipsed any previous mark he attained. Senior Sean Bowers also impressed in the pole vault by finishing fourth with a personal best mark of 4.50 meters.
 
 
In throws, sophomore Noah Sanders inched closer to the Ursinus hammer throw record by posting a career best 55.11-meter mark as the top Division III thrower in the "Elite" section of the event. Junior Carter Kensil placed second in the "collegiate" hammer throw at 45.56 meters and finished fifth in the shot put at 14.93 meters.
 
 
Junior Jaxon Geddio and senior Cole Jackson earned top-10's in the high jump as Geddio was seventh at 1.88 meters while Jackson was 10th at 1.83 meters.
 
 
First-year Noah Tapler led the Bears with a 10.96 in the 100 meters and senior Patrick Ryan had the Bears best time in the 110-meter hurdles at 16.11. Junior James Long-Stratton posted a 22.06 in the 200 meters and classmate Dylan Baer paced the Bears in the 400-meter hurdles at 56.55. Junior Troy Hedrick posted a top-10 in the 800 meters on a time of 1:54.46. Sophomore Aidan Furtek led the Bears in the steeplechase on a time of 10:33.03.
 
 
The 4x100 relay team of Tapler, Long-Stratton, junior Logan Downs, and senior Aiden Tobin finished third on a time of 41.37.
 
 
The Bears open a busy next week as they will send some athletes to the Haverford Mid Week Meet at 3:30 p.m.
