COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – With the score tied 3-all, Muhlenberg
rattled off six straight goals as the Mules defeated Ursinus 9-3 in
men's lacrosse in the season finale for both teams.
Muhlenberg (6-7, 4-4 Centennial) got two goals each from Al
Carpetto and Ari Jacobson in the win. Jacobson had two goals alone
in the fourth quarter.
For Ursinus (8-5, 3-5 Centennial) got two goals from senior
midfielder Eric Farris (Pottsgrove, Pa./Pottsgrove), while
sophomore midfielder Jeff Ocampo (Palm Coast, Fla./Mantanzas) had a
goal and an assist in the loss.
Defensively, senior defender Jake West (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern)
and junior defender Logan Duffie (Glen Mills, Pa./Penncrest) each
had two caused turnovers.
On faceoffs, sophomore midfielder Ryan Reuther (Morristown,
N.J./Morristown) was 7-for-13 on the afternoon. Farris and freshman
goalkeeper T.J. Magnani (Bear, Del./St. Mark's) each had four
groundballs.
Magnani finished the game with ten saves.
