Men's Lacrosse downs Haverford, 10-8

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus freshman attack Steve Mussoline scored four goals as the Bears (8-5, 2-5 Centennial) defeated Haverford (6-7, 3-4 Centennial) 10-8 on Wednesday night in men's lacrosse play. 

The Bears, who defeated Haverford for the first time since 2004, withstood a Ford flurry in the final 6:43 of the game as Haverford erased a seven-goal deficit to get within one at 9-8.

However, Ursinus freshman attack Logan 
Panaccione scored his 26th goal of the season with one minute remaining in the fourth quarter to save the game.

Panaccione finished with two goals and two assists, while sophomore midfielder Jake Weber scored two and added an assist.

With the score tied at 2-all with 7:43 left in the second, Ursinus went on a seven-goal run  where Mussoline scoring all four of his goals during the run. 

Haverford was led by three goals and an assist from junior midfielder Henry Millson. Millson scored two of his goals during Haverford's comeback attempt in the fourth quarter. 

Junior face off specialist Shawn Caven was the hero of the night, as he picked up 13 ground balls, going 14-for-21 on faceoffs. 

Freshman goalkeeper Brian Neff made 11 saves as he improved to 8-5 on the year.

Ursinus closes the season with a matchup against Muhlenberg on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Patterson Field
