The Ursinus Bears Football Team will travel to face Juniata in their final road contest of the regular season.

Last week, the Bears rolled to a 51-16 win over Gettysburg last Saturday. Ursinus scored on eight straight possessions between the first and third quarters after being forced to punt on its opening drive. The Bears amassed a 35-0 lead at the half before eventually going up as much as 51-0 in the third quarter. Ursinus totaled over 500 yards of total offense in a game for the second time this season. The Bears also had their highest total passing yards in a game since 2015 with 426 between two quarterbacks. Five different Bears scored in the contest with two of them scoring for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Meanwhile, The Eagles are coming off a 45-7 setback against Dickinson last Saturday afternoon. Juniata started strong by scoring the games opening touchdown before the Red Devils tallied 45 unanswered points. 24 of those points for the Red Devils came in the second quarter.

LAST MEETING: Last season, the Bears pulled away from Juniata to earn a 44-7 win on Senior Day. Following a scoreless first quarter, the Bears went up 17-0 at the half before closing the contest out with 27 unanswered points following a Juniata touchdown to open the second half. Former Bear Dash Dulgerian caught two touchdowns and posted 105 receiving yards while Samuel Ragland added 125 yards on the ground with two scores.

REWRITING THE BOOKS: Senior quarterback
Jack Psenicska added two more Ursinus records to his name last Saturday at Gettysburg. Psenicska tossed a new Ursinus single-game program record with six touchdown passes in the Bears 51-16 win while going 21-of-34 for 336 yards through the air. Psenicska in the process also set the new Ursinus single-season touchdown pass record that was previously held by Chris Curran, who tossed 25 touchdown passes in 2012. Psenicska's efforts also garnered him Centennial Conference offensive player of the week honors for the first time in his career. has been rewriting the Ursinus football record books all season which started with becoming the program's all-time passing touchdown leader two weeks ago against McDaniel. Psenicska has been on a scorching hot stretch over the last three games as he has thrown 15 touchdown passes with no interceptions.

CENTURY MARK: Junior fullback
Dawson Fresses has been strong since taking over the lead back duties starting with the Susquehanna game. However, one stat accomplishment eluded him over the past four games and that was to eclipse the 100-yard mark. Fresses did just that on Saturday as he recorded a career-high 107 yards on 11 carries. He averaged a whopping 9.7 yards per carry and set his new career-long rush with a 58-yard burst in the third quarter.

FIRST SCORES: A pair of Bears scored their first their first collegiate touchdowns against Gettysburg last Saturday. Sophomores
Michael D'Amico and
Jaden Louis notched their first collegiate scores in the first and fourth quarters, respectively. D'Amico snatched a one-yard touchdown pass while Louis capped the Bears big day on offense with a seven-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. D'Amico has served as one of the Bears primary fullbacks over the past two seasons while Louis has seen touches increase over the past few games.

HAVE A DAY: Senior wide receiver
Dallas Evans had a career-best game against Gettysburg last Saturday. Evans registered a career-high 129 yards on five catches and caught a pair of touchdown passes. The Baltimore native has set all new career-highs in his final season with 389 yards on 24 catches plus five touchdown receptions. It was the second time this season Evans eclipsed over 100 yards and was his second multi-TD game. Evans also had a new career-long catch of 43 yards as well in the win.

BREAKOUT SEASON: Sophomore wide receiver
Justin Collier continued to build off a breakout season against Gettysburg. Collier caught three passes for 36 yards and hauled in a pair of touchdown receptions against the Bullets. Collier now leads the team and is tied for fourth in the Centennial with seven touchdown receptions. He has been on a recent hot streak of late as he recorded his second multi-touchdown reception game in the last three games and has scored five touchdowns during that span.

PLAYMAKER: Senior linebacker
Brett Gross once again showed why he is one of the top linebackers in the Centennial Conference last Saturday against Gettysburg. Gross once again led the Bears with a team-high six tackles (four solo) and recorded one sack which caused a fumble that he recovered. His fumble return also would have been a touchdown if not for a personal foul penalty during the play.Â

SCOUTING THE EAGLES: The Eagles are coming off a 45-7 setback against Dickinson last Saturday afternoon. Juniata started strong by scoring the games opening touchdown before the Red Devils tallied 45 unanswered points. 24 of those points for the Red Devils came in the second quarter. Senior quarterback Noah Wright leads the Eagles offense by ranking fifth in the Centennial with nine touchdown passes. Wright has thrown for 1,247 yards this season and has scored one touchdown on the ground. Wright's main target is senior wide receiver Julian Jackson, who has recorded 393 yards on 36 catches and three touchdown receptions. Sophomore running back Hunter Wolfley paces the Juniata backs once again with a team-leading 437 rushing yards and has one rushing touchdown on the season. Wolfley earned All-Centennial honors during the 2021 season.

On defense, junior linebacker Dontey Rogan leads the way with 67 tackles (33 solo) and ranks third in the Centennial Conference with that number. Rogan also has a pair of interceptions and one sack for the Eagles. Senior linebacker Seth Berstein helps anchor the linebacking corps with Rogen by posting 56 tackles (30 solo) which is good for ninth-best in the Centennial. Berstein is also the Eagles top pass rusher as he ranks sixth in the conference with 3.5 sacks. Sophomore defensive back Quintin Stephens is having a breakout season in the secondary for Juniata as he ranks second in the Centennial with four interceptions. As a team, the Eagles are tied for fourth in the Centennial with nine interceptions as a team.
