COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – A pair of Ursinus Men's Lacrosse seniors earned spots on the Division III Preseason All-American teams from Inside Lacrosse, announced by the website on Thursday.
Attacker
Tyler Neal and defender
Chase Rondeau represented the Bears on the Honorable Mention team.
For Neal, it is his second-straight season earning a spot on Inside Lacrosse's Preseason All-American squad after also earning honorable mention last season. Neal was dynamic in 2022 for the Bears as he led the team with 62 points behind 36 goals and 26 assists while ranking sixth in the Centennial Conference for all three of those statistical categories. Neal ranked third in total shots with 140 and earned All-Centennial Conference first team honors. He was named All-American Honorable Mention by the USILA and was All-Centennial first team as well.
Rondeau emerged as one of the top defenders in the Centennial last season, earning All-Centennial first team honors. He paced the Centennial with a single-season program record 35 caused turnovers and ranked third on the team with 50 ground balls. Rondeau registered eight caused turnovers against St. John Fisher and even had a bit of a scoring touch to his game with a career best five goals.
The Bears will begin their 2023 season on Saturday, February 11th as they will travel to take on No. 5 York at 1:00 p.m.
