Last week, the Bears cruised past McDaniel 49-6 on Homecoming Saturday. Ursinus scored eight seconds into the contest after the Green Terror muffed the opening kickoff. McDaniel responded with a touchdown drive of their own only to have the extra point blocked. The Bears closed the game out with 42 unanswered points and forced four turnovers. The run started with Ursinus capping a lengthy drive and extended their lead with a touchdown in the final minute of the first quarter. The Bears scored 14 points in each of the next two quarters to build a commanding 42-6 lead and added one last touchdown in the 4th quarter.

Meanwhile, The Bullets were edged by rival Dickinson 28-25 this past Saturday afternoon. Gettysburg responded to a big-play Red Devil touchdown in the opening minutes of the game with two of their own over the next two quarters to take a 14-7 lead. Dickinson scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the first half and held a 21-14 lead at the half. The Red Devils scored an early fourth quarter touchdown to go up 28-17 and held off a Bullets touchdown to win by running out the final four minutes.

LAST MEETING: Last season, the Bears rolled to a 51-16 win over Gettysburg last season on the road. Ursinus scored on eight straight possessions between the first and third quarters after being forced to punt on its opening drive. The Bears amassed a 35-0 lead at the half before eventually going up as much as 51-0 in the third quarter. Ursinus racked up a whopping 561 total yards of offense with 426 coming through the air.

TOUCHDOWN TRIO: Junior running back Tony Holden shredded the McDaniel defense on Saturday afternoon by rushing for a season-high 154 yards on 20 carries. He was just two off his career-high of 156 set against Muhlenberg in 2022 and matched his career-high with three touchdowns. His efforts earned him the Kenneth E. Walker trophy which is awarded to the most outstanding Ursinus player of the homecoming contest. Holden has rushed for at least 100 yards three times this season and ranks second in the Centennial with 595 yards.

THA CARTER 29: Junior defensive end Connor Carter made life difficult for the Green Terror this past Saturday by setting career-highs in two categories. He posted 2.5 tackles for loss and notched a pair of sacks in the second half on back-to-back plays while finishing the game with eight tackles (four solo). Carter is now tied for third in the Centennial Conference with five sacks and is tied for second on the team with 6.0 tackles for loss despite missing two games this season. He has recorded at least 0.5 tackle for loss in all but one game started this season.

Zulkowski led all Ursinus receivers in the game for the first time this season with 72 receiving yards. He is tied for second on the team with three touchdown receptions, all of which have come over 40 yards. Zulkowski has 232 yards on eight catches so far this season.

It was one of three interceptions for the Bears in the contest. Esposito paces the Centennial Conference with 11 pass break-ups in a stellar season. He has tallied 30 tackles (23 solo) on the year as well.

JOE COOL: Sophomore defensive back Joseph Small made the most of his first collegiate start on Saturday against McDaniel. He added three tackles (two solo) against McDaniel in addition to his interception. Small has 20 tackles (12 solo) on the season so far and has tallied 0.5 sack in the season opener against Alvernia.
