WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Golf team opened at the 2024 Centennial Conference Championships on Friday afternoon at the Waynesboro Country Club.
After the first day, the Bears are tied for sixth of the eight teams competing after carding a team score of 329 (+41). Franklin & Marshall leads the team standings with a team total of 295 (+7) and Charlie Dolan of McDaniel holds a one-stroke lead for the individual title at a 71 (-1).
For the Bears, senior
Nick Troha turned in a strong showing after carding a 77 (+5) to lead the team and currently tie for 15th overall. Senior
Evan Coffey is second among the Bears after totaling a score of 82 (+10) and is tied for 25th while classmate
Billy Cardino is tied for 31st behind shooting an 85 (+13). Sophomore
Jimmy Cage is tied with Cardino at 31st in his Centennial Championship debut and first-year
Brandon Mongan rounds out the Bears with his score of 91 (+19) after one round.
Ursinus starts round two of the Centennial Championships tomorrow, April 27th at 10:30 a.m.
