WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's golf team wrapped up their 2024 Centennial Conference Championships on Sunday morning at the Waynesboro Country Club.
After the final day of competition, Ursinus earned a seventh-place finish landing on a single round score of 327. It marks as their lowest round of the tournament and second lowest this season behind a finish of 319 at the Turtle Creek Intercollegiate. The Bears shot a total of 1007 throughout their three rounds, while Franklin & Marshall won the team title with a final tally of 866. Swarthmore College (878) placed second and Gettysburg College (890) rounded out the top-three teams.
Senior
Evan Coffey paced the Bears lineup by finishing 30th overall behind a third-round score of 80 and totaling a 246 throughout the tournament. He recorded two birdies over the back nine shooting one-under on the par-4 11th and par-5 14th holes. Coffey shot a six-over 42 on the front nine before earning his lowest score of 38 throughout the final nine holes on Sunday.
Just behind Coffey, senior
Nick Troha placed 31st overall signing for an 83 on the day, and a tournament total of 249. Troha totaled 10 pars throughout his third round including four straight from holes two through five. Senior
Billy Cardino carded an 80 during his round finishing 34th overall with a final score of 254. He tallied a team-high three birdies on the day and closed out his final nine holes with a one-over 37.
Sophomore
Jimmy Cage placed 36th overall in his CC Championship debut carding an 84 during his final round. Cage collected a birdie on the par-4 11th hole and ended his tournament with a final score of 262. First-year
Brandon Mongan rounded out the five Bears competing by finishing tied for 38th with a final round score of 88.
