COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – A pair of Ursinus gymnasts qualified for the 2025 NCGA National Championship meet as individuals following their performances yesterday at the NCGA East Regionals.
Sophomore
Erin Roe for all-around and senior
Megan Matteucci on the floor will be representing the Bears in two weeks at Gustavus Adolphus College, the site of the 2025 NCGA Championships. Roe will be making her second straight appearance in the meet and Matteucci will be in her first career appearance. Roe earned her individual bid by holding the top SAS in the East Region for the all-around while Matteucci garnered hers from having the top floor routine at the NCGA East Regional meet yesterday among gymnasts from non-qualifying National Championship team squads.
Roe has done it all for the Bears this season and built off her vault appearance in last year's national championship by qualifying in her first full season competing in the all-around. She totaled an all-around score of 37.600 yesterday at the NCGA East Regional meet which was fourth overall. A second place finish on the vault behind a 9.8 powered her score while also setting a career best floor score 9.775. Roe also had the highest Ursinus individual score on the bars at a 9.575 and finished fifth overall. She has totaled a SAS of 37.9813 in the all-around.
Matteucci set the tone right off the start by recording three straight 9.8's in the first three Ursinus meets of the 2025 season. Yesterday, Matteucci matched her career best score of 9.825 on the floor to pace the Bears once again and finish fourth overall. She holds a SAS of 9.8063 on the floor which is tied for fourth in the NCGA East.
Roe and Matteucci will join the other 25 individual qualifiers and gymnasts from the six qualifying NCGA Championship teams on Saturday, March 22nd at the NCGA National Championships that will be held at Gustavus Adolphus starting at 2:00 p.m. Information for the event can be found on
