COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus College is saddened to learn of the death of Geoff Mock, a volunteer assistant coach on the Track & Field staff. Ursinus Director of Athletics
Erin Stroble shared the news with the Ursinus community Monday morning, July 21st.
A former two-sport athlete at Kutztown University, Mock joined the Ursinus Track & Field coaching staff in August of 2023 and worked closely with the sprinters on the team. Mock helped assist the Bears to win their third straight Centennial Outdoor Track & Field Championship in May 2024. Mock was an integral and committed member of the Ursinus community and supported and inspired the student-athletes of the Bears Track & Field program in ways far beyond athletic instruction.
Outside of his time with the Bears, Mock worked as the Associate Director, Government Relations at Lehigh University and formerly served as a Regional Representative for US Senator Bob Casey's office and as Legislative Director for PA State Senator Christine Tartaglione. Geoff was named to the City & State Pennsylvania Forty under 40 list in 2023 and in 2024 he was the Keynote Speaker at the Delaware Valley Student Affairs Conference. He was also a devoted husband and proud father.
