Four Women's Lacrosse Players Earn IWLCA Academic Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – Four members of the Ursinus College women's lacrosse team were recognized on the 2025 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll and the team earned Academic Squad honors, announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
 
 
 
Recent graduate Sarah Child along with rising seniors Sophia Curtis, Susie Miller, and Ashley Noto were all named to the Academic Honor Roll. In addition, the team was one of the 325 institutions named an academic squad for posting a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
 
 
 
The IWLCA honored 1,286 student-athletes from 201 different institutions on the 2025 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The Bears were one of 383 schools named IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
 
 
 
 
An economics graduate, Child wraps up her Ursinus career by taking home her second straight IWLCA Academic Honor Roll nomination for her collegiate career and garnered Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll honors both years on the team. Child scored 10 goals for the Bears in 2025 and appeared in all 16 games. She totaled 20 points off 19 goals and one assist in her two seasons at Ursinus after transferring from Bard.
 
 
 
Curtis, a health and exercise/biology dual major, started all 18 games on defense for the Bears in 2025 and ranked third on the team with 17 caused turnovers while tying for the team lead with 25 ground balls. She is also a two-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recipient. Miller, an educational studies major, appeared in 13 games in net for the Bears and made seven starts in her first season on the team after transferring from Cabrini. Miller made 52 saves and earned a pair of wins.
 
 
 
A biology major, Noto had another strong season for the Bears by ranking third on the team with 43 points behind ranking second with 17 assists and third with 26 goals. Noto registered 12 multi-point contests in 2025 and reached at least four points in a game five times. Noto joins Child and Curtis as two-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recipients.
