COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus Women's Lacrosse head coach
Rachel Howard-Franklin announced the hiring of
Rebecca Tomaszewski to join the Bears' coaching staff for the upcoming season.
"I am thrilled to welcome RB to Collegeville! She arrives at Ursinus College with a balanced blend of competitive experience, strategic planning, and athlete-focused coaching. Her strong background as a goalkeeper—paired with hands-on roles in recruiting and academic oversight—positions her as an asset to our program."
Prior to Ursinus, Tomaszewski was the head coach at American International College in Massachusetts, assistant coach at Millersville University, and graduate assistant at New England College in New Hampshire. She began her coaching career as an assistant at Louisville High School in Ohio.
A graduate of Walsh University, Tomaszewski was a decorated All-America goalkeeper and four-year letter winner in lacrosse and field hockey. Tomaszewski will specialize in working with goalkeepers and serve as an assistant defensive coordinator. She currently also coaches club lacrosse with ROAR based out of Reading, Pennsylvania.
In addition to Tomaszewski being added to the staff, assistant coach
Fran Knebels will now focus on the offensive side of the ball with Head Coach Howard-Franklin. The staff now includes four coaches, two on the offensive and two on the defensive side with assistant coach
Megan Dee.
