PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Ursinus men's track and field team turned in a series of strong performances at the Widener-Schuylkill Showdown, hosted by Widener University on Sunday.
 

First-year Noah Tapler paced the Bears in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.02, finishing 11th overall and fifth among Division III competitors. Seniors Aiden Tobin (7.07) and Eddie Weick (7.18) rounded out the Ursinus trio, placing 17th and 31st overall, respectively.

 
Sophomore Kyle Cummings followed in the 60-meter hurdles, placing eighth among Division III runners and 11th overall with a time of 8.81. In the 200 meters, Tobin led the Ursinus contingent by ranking eighth overall with a time of 22.06.

 
Senior Liam Johnston recorded a season-best time of 4:17.61 in the mile to finish third, while classmate Ryan Martin placed 31st in 4:43.12. Johnston also finished 16th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.82, while first-year Ramon Martinez placed 14th in 1:59.85 and junior Troy Hedrick ranked 15th with a time of 2:00.26.

 
The Bears closed out the meet by finishing ninth in the 4x400-meter relay, as the team of Cummings, Martinez, junior Dylan Baer, and first-year Bryson Sacher combined for a season-best time of 3:28.40.

 
Ursinus will return to action Saturday, February 7th, when it hosts the Frank Colden Invitational.
