COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Basketball team secured a Centennial Conference Tournament berth for the third straight season and will host a Tournament game for the second straight season. The Bears, who have secured the third seed, will host the sixth-seeded Washington College at 8:00 p.m.

The Centennial Conference has announced that Hudl will serve as the ticket provider for CC championship events. Hudl will give event attendees the ability to purchase tickets online for each round of the Centennial postseason. Centennial fans will be able to find all scheduled postseason events on the
Centennial ticketing homepage and quickly purchase tickets to receive via email. Fans will then use their smartphone to gain access at championship events through a simple and secure ticket validation process. Below are the ticket prices for each round of the postseason:

Records
Ursinus holds a 15-10 overall record and a finished the regular season with a 9-6 mark in Centennial play. The Bears finished third in the Centennial regular season standings. Meanwhile, the Shorewomen finished the regular season with an overall record of 13-12 and an 8-7 mark in Centennial play. Washington finished sixth in the Centennial Conference regular season standings
Scouting the Bears
The Bears rank fourth in both scoring offense in the Centennial Conference at 62.3 points per game and in team field goal percentage at 37.5 percent. Senior
Madison Smith leads the team and ranks seventh in the Centennial Conference in scoring at 13.8 points per game and leads the team in rebounding at 6.6 per game. She has scored in double figures in nine straight games and has tallied over 20 points in two of the last four Ursinus contests. Senior
Ava Possenti sits just behind second on the team at 12.8 points per game and is arguably one of if not the best defenders in the Centennial Conference by yarding the league at 4.8 steals per game and ranks third in all of Division III with that number. Possenti holds the field goal percentage team lead at 42.9 percent and both the single season and career Ursinus steals record.
Bears in the Playoffs
The Bears are making their third straight Centennial Conference Tournament appearance and will be hosting a home tournament game for the second straight season after hosting Dickinson in 2024-25. This will be the 13th all-time appearance in the Centennial Conference Tournament for the Bears and the team won league championships in 1995 and 2007.
Scouting the Shorewomen
Washington College secured the final seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament on the final day of the regular season over Franklin & Marshall. The Shorewomen rank ninth in the Centennial at 55.9 points per game but are limiting teams to 55.4 points per game which is fourth lowest in the conference. Senior Kaitlyn Boggs has put together a dominant final season by ranking second in the Centennial Conference at 17.3 points per game and third in rebounding at 10.5 per game which is second on the team to the Centennial leader in rebounding, senior Emma Robinson, at 12.1 per game. Boggs ranks second in the Centennial with a 48.4 field goal percentage and is third in blocks per game at 1.6. Senior Abby Meredith ranks second on the team in scoring at 12.9 points per game and paces the Centennial Conference in three-point field goal percentage at 36.1 percent.
Shorewomen in the Playoffs
The Shorewomen have made the conference tournament in each of the last five seasons, and it will be the seventh all-time appearance in the Centennial Conference Tournament. They have won first round games in three of the last four seasons with the most recent being a 45-40 triumph at home over McDaniel last season.
Series History
The Bears hold the all-time series record lead at 36-27 and have won three of the last five meetings. This will be the second all-time meeting in the postseason between the two schools following the Bears 50-40 first round triumph in the 2023-24 at Chestertown.
Last Meeting
The Bears and Shorewomen once again split their regular season meetings for the third straight season with each team winning on their opponent's home court. Ursinus won a hard-fought 53-48 battle on the road against the Shorewomen back on January 10
th. Possenti poured in a career high 28 points that ended up securing her the Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor.
Ursinus Head Coach: Bobbi Morgan
Bobbi Morgan is in her fifth season as the head coach of the Bears after a tenure at Haverford that saw her lead the Fords to three Centennial Conference titles. Morgan has steadily improved the team since her first season of 2021-22 with three straight Centennial Conference Tournament appearances. She is in her 21st overall season and holds a 321-219 record all-time. She is a three-time Centennial Conference Coach of the Year and WBCA Regional Coach of the Year recipient in 2014.
Washington Head Coach: Alisha Mosley
Alisha Mosley has transformed the Shorewomen's program since becoming the head coach before the 2013-14 season. Mosley led the team to a program record 17 wins in 2021-22 and to three of the four all-time semifinals appearances in the Centennial Conference Tournament. Mosley was a long-time assistant at Loyola (Md.) prior to arriving at Chestertown.

The winner will advance to the Centennial Conference Semifinal round on Friday, February 27th with both games starting at 6:00 p.m. If Ursinus wins, they will take on Gettysburg while Washington will face Johns Hopkins if they win.
