COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Track & Field program will send a pair student-athletes to compete in the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama.
Senior
Kaelin Ryan and sophomore
Mitchell Davis will represent the Bears at the Indoor Championship Meet that will begin on Friday, March 13th.
Ryan has had a career indoor season and will make her NCAA Championship debut in the 60-meter hurdles. She topped the Ursinus 60-meter school record multiple times this season, most recently being an 8.74 last Friday at the AARTFC Championship Meet. It is the 17th fastest time in Division III this season and she won the 60-meter hurdle title at the Centennial Conference Championships back on March 1st. Her time of 8.80 was a Centennial Indoor Championship meet record and it helped lead her to be named the Centennial Conference Women's Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet. She was the first Bear to claim the 60-meter hurdle gold since Amanda Laurito went back-to-back in 2012 and 2013.
Davis made it 3-for-3 in his career to qualify for an NCAA Championship meet after qualifying in both the Indoor and Outdoor meets last season. He recorded his best mark of the season and of his career to date of 5.05 meters at the Widener Indoor Classic on February 13th. Davis topped his own school record and successfully defended his Centennial Conference Indoor Pole Vault title on February 28th. Davis tied for ninth at last year's Indoor Championships which garnered him All-American honors on his mark of 4.90 meters.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will start on Friday, March 13th through Saturday, the 14th. Davis and Ryan will both compete on Friday and Ryan will race on Saturday if she makes the finals. Live video and live result links will be added when made available.
