LIMERICK, Pa. – A pair of Ursinus women's golfers recorded season lows, highlighting the Bears at their Spring Quad #3 on Thursday evening.
Three Bears competed at Turtle Creek Golf Club, a par-72 course measuring 5,827 yards. Stockton won the event with a team total of 368, followed by Albright (394) and Eastern (419).
Junior
McKenzi Thompson led the Bears lineup, tying for 10th with a season-low 101. Her round was highlighted by a pair of pars on the front nine at the par-4 seventh and par-3 ninth holes. She carded a 49 (+13) on the front before posting a 52 (+16) on the back nine.
Senior
Payton Fritz placed 13th with a season-low 107. Her round was highlighted by consecutive birdies on the par-4 14th and par-3 15th holes, helping her to a 51 on the back nine. On the front, Fritz recorded a par on the par-4 first hole and a bogey on the par-4 sixth.
Senior
Lucy Bamford placed 15th with a 118. Her round included four bogeys on the back nine, where she carded a 53.
The Bears will conclude their season at the Conquer the Island Tournament on April 22, hosted by Shawnee Golf Club at noon.
