Smith dazzled in the pool for the Bears Men's Swimming team. Smith became the first and only Ursinus Men's Swimming Centennial Conference record holder and multi-Centennial Conference champion during his time on the team.  Upon graduation, Smith owned three Individual Ursinus records, was a part of four Ursinus team relay records, and held one Centennial Conference record. He still owns the Ursinus Men's 200 fly team record and scored in all 12 of his individual opportunities at Centennial Championships. Smith earned a "B" cut time (NCAA meet consideration) in 200 fly during the 2012 Centennial Conference Championships and served as a team captain during his last two seasons.


Upon graduation, Smith earned his Master of Science from St. Joseph's University in Experimental Psychology. He currently works in product management for a research analytics company and performs in stage and screen productions in the tri-state area.
