Ursinus Hall of Fame
Algeo was a three-sport standout, a starter on the basketball, lacrosse, and field hockey teams. She helped lead women's lacrosse to a national championship in 1989, recording 56 ground balls in addition to four goals and four assists from her defender spot and earning IWLCA/Brine All-Region status. Algeo was a two-time Academic All-American and defensive anchor for the field hockey team and finished her basketball career with 647 points and 413 rebounds in three years of competition.
She was an all-area selection and received two Bruins Club scholarships for combined excellence in academics and athletics in 1988, and was an All-Philadelphia Area choice for small colleges in 1987, and Algeo played a key role as the Bears captured the MAC Southeast Division title in 1988, the program's first crown in 75 years.
