Ursinus Hall of Fame
Karen (Wendler) Garfield was a key piece to the Ursinus Field Hockey team's dominant run in the mid-2000's. Garfield was a member of the 2006 NCAA Division III National Championship team and helped lead the Bears to three Centennial Championships along with a pair of final four appearances. She scored 33 career goals and tallied nine assists during her time at Ursinus. Her finest season came in 2005 when she was named a Second Team All-American, a First Team All-Region selection, and All-Centennial first team accolade.
She was a two-time final four All-Tournament team selection in 2005 and 2006 while earning three NFHCA Academic Squad honors. Garfield earned her Master of Science in Accounting, is a certified public accountant, and serves as a Finance Director at S&P Global. She has two daughters, Hannah and Mae, with her husband, Scott.
